  3. success almost immediately.  It's popularity has 
  4. been assisted by sponsorship of some of the most 
  5. famous and infuential writers in the field, such 
  6. as Jack O'Conner who called the .270 his favorite
  7. cartridge.

  9.     The .270 Winchester is a .30-06 Springfield 
  10. necked-down to accept a .278-inch bullet.  
  11. Factory 130-grain bullets leave the muzzle at 
  12. 3060 fps.
